Find answers to common questions about my services and the therapy process.
General Questions
Absolutely. Confidentiality is a cornerstone of therapy and is protected by law. Everything we discuss is kept strictly private. The only exceptions are rare situations where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, which we will discuss in detail during our first session.
I work with a diverse range of clients, including teenagers, young adults, and adults facing various life challenges. My areas of focus include anxiety, stress management, relationship issues, self-esteem, and navigating difficult life transitions.
The Therapy Process
Progress looks different for everyone. Common indicators include feeling a greater sense of clarity and self-awareness, developing better coping skills for daily stressors, noticing improvements in your relationships, and feeling more confident in managing life’s challenges. We will regularly check in on your progress toward the goals we set.
A standard individual therapy session lasts for 50 minutes. The frequency of our sessions (e.g., weekly, bi-weekly) will be based on your individual needs and goals, which we will decide on together.
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, your personal history, and what you hope to achieve. It’s a collaborative, low-pressure conversation that allows you to ask me questions and determine if you feel we are a good therapeutic fit.
